Using Localist

Localist is a free directory that helps people find local businesses. Listings are provided by the businesses themselves or collected with their permission. We try to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee that every detail is correct or up to date. Please confirm important details directly with the business.

Businesses on Localist

• Basic listings are free. You must be allowed to represent the business you list or claim.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for any logos, images and adverts you upload. You must own them or have permission to use them.
• Adverts must be honest and lawful. We may decline or remove any listing, image or advert that is misleading, offensive, infringes someone else's rights, or breaks these terms.
• Adverts can appear on your own profile. Landing-page placement is at our discretion. Search results never contain adverts, and are ordered by distance, name or rating as the visitor chooses.
• Ratings shown on listings come from third parties such as Google, and are shown for information only.

Accounts

Keep your password private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend accounts that are misused.

Liability

Localist is not a party to any agreement between visitors and businesses. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of listings or dealings with listed businesses.
